Project Shark is a Grasshopper3D plugin that enables real-time augmented reality (AR) experiences for designers and architects.
The plugin allows users to create and share dynamically configurable 3D models at a 1:1 scale in AR without writing a single line of code. The team developed an efficient algorithm to compress and stream geometry data in real-time.
Project Shark has many potential use cases. For example, architects and interior designers can use it to showcase 3D models to clients and get real-time feedback, while engineers and product designers can use it to communicate about product design with customers and with each other virtually, without expensive experimentation.
