Software replacement for Kinect3D pose estimation in Grasshopper3D using a webcam

Catwalk is a Grasshopper3D plugin that implements PoseNet JavaScript for pose estimation. The plugin uses the ResNet model and API through ml5.js.


The plugin employs machine learning to allow users to estimate human figures using just their webcam, similar to the Xbox Kinect. The plugin requires Google Chrome to be installed on the user’s system and a good internet connection.


Catwalk provides a simple way for designers and architects to use pose estimation in their projects without needing specialized hardware or writing code.
